Today in great political ads: Denver mayor John Hickenlooper, the Democratic nominee for gov, who somehow manages to spend 30 seconds of film time in the shower without being sensual or pathetic. Additional shout-out to Pamela Gorman, the AZ state legislator who got her message across with an impressive arsenal of firearms and puns. We’re jilting our old favorite, the porn-style-lit Ben Quayle classic (yup, that’s Dan’s boy) in favor of her. Enjoy!

This is America. And our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable. The principle that people of all faiths are welcome in this country and that they will not be treated differently by their government is essential to who we are. The writ of the Founders must endure.
